Wat zou je de lezers van MBM willen leren?
Om modellen dieper in detail te bekijken. Probeer om met de ogen
van een figuur op de schaal van je model te kijken.
Vergeet ook niet dat je enkel uit je model kan halen
wat je er in de eerste plaats instopt. Dat wil zeggen, hoe meer moeite je doet,
hoe meer werk en detail je in je model steekt, hoe beter het er zal uitzien
als het af is. En dat geldt zowel voor het bouwen als voor het schilderen.
Wees dus niet te snel tevreden!
Maar vergeet ook niet dat perfecte modellen niet bestaan.

I work as a scientific researcher in chemistry in the Spanish Research Council.
I build models since I was 14. As many of us, I started with some few planes, a
nd then I moved to military vehicles. My first 1:35 model was Italeri¹s Kublewagen. Since then,
my main modelling interest has focused in WWII vehicles. At the beginning, I only modelled German subjects
but later I widened my scope and now I model vehicles from any nationality i
nvolved in the war in Europe and the Mediterranean area.
Wat bouw je het liefst?
In fact, I have become a real fan of the Sherman family of vehicles and every year
I build at least one of them. I am mainly a
1:35 modeller, but recently I made some incursions in 1:72 and 1:48 with great fun.
Especially, I think that 1:48 is a very suitable scale for
Military vehicles, and now I plan to alternate 1:35 and 1:48 in my workbench.

Wat zou je de lezers van MBM willen leren?
In 1996 I created panzernet, a web page that has become the home
of the Spanish speaking military vehicle modelling community.
In 2007 I created my personal web page, AFV Planet ,
in which I feature my works and some friend¹s, extremely talented modellers
that I had the luck to meet during the last years. I believe that the Internet is a great tool for modelling,
and in my case it has allowed me to contact and meet many other modellers around the world,
share and learn many techniques and improve my modelling skills and thoughts. Thanks to that, I
have managed to be a regular contributor to several modelling magazines both form Europe and Japan.

Geduld en nog eens geduld hebben bij een bouwproject, daarnaast het leuk blijven vinden.

At the moment I am totally hooked up by AFV models in 1/48th scale which
proved to be very enjoyable and fresh to me. I also like to make Aircrafts,
and Sci-Fi models when I have the chance for it. Aside that, my main
modelling interest is to enjoy this hobby plenty
and to have a good time making models.
Wat bouw je het liefst?
Personally I do not limit my choices and I think the modelling world
(offering) is too wide to have only a bunch of favourites. I like to make
almost anything and I like to be open and flexible when necessary to make
different things and I do not stick to one only field. Anyways, I also have
my criteria and taste to pick up one specific subject and I can be one
discriminating modeller at times too.
Heb je wel eens een prijs gewonnen?
I attended and entered international modelling shows and contests for years
in the past and my models can be seen in some events worldwide from time to
time still , but in my opinion awards are not important because awards give
you good reputation but awards cannot make you better modeller, so I do not
have any ambition to get more awards and I also believe it is very good to
give way to new modellers to reach the top as well.

Until now MBM has featured four models from mine and more models are to
follow in the following issues.

Paradoxically, although I consider myself basically one AFV modeller, the
1/72nd scale P-47D Thunderbolt is the submission I more like until now.

Wat zou je de lezers van MBM willen leren?
I would like MBM readers believe and feel model making is a wonderfull
hobby, but the most important thing to me is readers must be free to find
theirs own way to enjoy theirs own and personal hobby and I would like
people to have theirs own criteria to decide by themselves what they like or
dislike. I also want readers to understand modelling world is big enough to
find your own place on it and everything is respectable in terms of personal
satisfaction. One model from the box is same valuable than one super
detailed model if you are happy with your performance.
